Appleton Drunk Capitol of the USA
Re: Appleton Drunk Capitol of the USA
Quite pathetic. Usually I would doubt the data source, but the WSJ has a better than average reputation. Part of the reason for this is the power the Tavern League has in this state. I was born in this state, but I'm not going to die in it, as it gets to #$%ing cold.
How sad.

If I wasn't so drunk right now, I'd be embarrassed.

I've been lucky to live and work in many different areas of the country. I have witnessed Wisconsin residents drink events like Bowl Games and Super Bowls out of beer. For Super Bowl 33, we almost drank San Diego out of Miller Lite (true!). If you move to another state, do not answer the question "what are you doing tonight" with "I'm going drinkin'". They just don't understand...

Just because we have a higher tolerance. And Harvard defines an alcoholic by three drinks a week doesn't mean we can be judged on their scale. Yes we drink more but does that mean we are more drunk?
