One-handed strippers

Post by DeaconBlooze »

Does anyone have a recommendation on a specific one-handed automatic wire stripper? I was going to grab one, but they're worryingly cheaper in price than I remember.

This is very disappointing. I was really hoping the title was going to lead to a completely different type of thread.

For $12 these work great for occasional use. Occasionally the stripped piece clogs the mechanism and you have to shake it out. If I was using them everyday I'd invest in something better.

I really like this style of wire stripper. I've had one from Radio Shack for 15+ years and it still works great.

I don't like the other style as it just pinches/tears off the insulation, sometimes damaging strands of the wire.

Most disappointing thread of 2021. :D

I have one of these:

I don’t know the difference between the cheap ones and the good ones, but after practicing a bit I can make it work pretty consistently. At least more consistently than manually.

Total click bait!!!

I’ve been using one of these for years:

Bought mine from Grainger originally at almost twice the price. Had to double check to make sure it is the one I’ve been using. The only thing I don’t like is when I have to use it for wires smaller than 20ga

I've tried a few in the past and never had luck until I picked these up. Re wired several connectors with different size wire and these things never missed. Super quick and easy, can't recommend them enough.

I was envisioning how having only one hand would affect some nice lady's ability to pole dance.

This thread went quiet.

I was hoping somebody might post some really hot new pictures of one handed strippers.
